Bon Voyage Emily!

Good luck to Emily Coggles as she heads to Ecuador with the Canadian Association of Medical Teams Abroad (CAMTA) to assist in providing medical care to local people in need. Volunteer medical teams are made up of 90 doctors, surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, students and lay people. During their 2 weeks in Ecuador, the CAMTA team will perform around 80 corrective orthopedic surgeries for adults with severe arthritis and children with hip dysplasia, club foot and other issues that limit their mobility. The team will also be sharing their knowledge and experience with patients, family members and the local medical community. Emily is excited to be combining her love for travel with the opportunity to share her knowledge and support to patients who otherwise could not afford treatment. We wish her safe travels!!
